I grew up in Scotland, and I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t making videos.
My love for video could be a diagnosable obsession. I get lost in the process and itch when I have an idea that needs to be visualized. What I love about storytelling in this way is that it allows me to solve problems in creative ways that make people click.
A junior at the University of Chicago pursuing a double major in Economics with a specialization in Business and Cinema and Media Studies: at the intersection of those two disciplines lies my interest.
1. My favorite YouTube of all time video is DO WHAT YOU CAN’T by Casey Neistat. I watch it whenever I feel unsure about my future.
2. Once I drove over my camera trying to get the perfect shot in high school. The camera survived (with a couple of dents and scratches). The shot was awesome … and I have since become much more careful.
3. I named my first documentary at four years old (10:05 here if you are desperate to see). I probably should’ve leveraged that exposure for some juicy connections but alas, I was more focused on my ABCs.
Birth in 🏴. It was awesome, you should’ve been there.
Named my first documentary (serious business.)

Got my hands on an iPad Mini 2 (first one with a camera). Went crazy with iMovie. Discovered YouTube.
Graduated to final cut and edited whatever I could, watching a lot of tutorials and entering editing contests from time to time: see right.
Got my first DSLR, a sony a7III. Went bananas.
Graduated high school, took a gap year and made my first commercial work, a promotional video for a local brewery: see left.
