The Brief:
Produce animations that play on hover for Fortress’ case studies. Animations should incorporate a quick overview of the individual client’s work – whether that be logo design, web design or brand book creation – and last 8-12 seconds. These were made for Fortress’ forthcoming website redesign, and will be accessible once that is live. Please hover over the below stills to achieve the intended effect!

Process:
The challenge here was telling the story of the company’s work in a short and silent sequence. However, I found that trawling through the design team’s folders looking for anything that I could string together visually helped to tell these stories. For instance, one of my favorite compositions was the one for Action Injury Law Group, because I found that I could demonstrate the design team’s different iterations of the logo by animating between them (diagram below), thereby creating an animation that was both fluid and demonstrative of the team’s work.
